Staying in shape is a necessary these days. Everybody who’s anybody wants to have a proper body structure and wants to stay fit. In order to do that most people go to gyms and start picking up heavy weights thinking it’s the right way to go. In most cases gyms are the perfect way for you to get in shape but occasionally people tend to lose interests in gyms and quit them after a month or two. For these people, they want to have something fun and interesting in their lives that they just don’t find in gyms where all you do is use dull equipment. They’ll find this joy in sports as it will not only give them a good exercise but it’ll also jog there interests and bring them closer to fitness. Hence let’s talk about some sporting activities that will not only keep you fit but also absorbed.
Boxing is a combat sport where two people throw punches at each other while wearing gloves. It is without a doubt one of the most famous sport ever to be played, which also celebrated greats like Muhammad Ali, Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao and Mike Tyson. Boxing is all about landing the perfect punch and knocking the other guy out, this is the reason why gloves are an essential part of it. Whatever you do, do not get a cheap pair of gloves from China because a strong well-built glove would do much better long term.
MMA/Mix Martial Arts
Mix Martial Arts is full contact combat sport. It involves a mixture of different styles from all around the world and involves both striking (kicking /punching) and grappling. Practicing MMA is great way for men and women both to enjoy sports while having a crack at real combat. MMA is one great sport if you’re looking for a full body exercise because unlike boxing Mixed Martial Arts is about more than just foot work and punches, it’s about your entire body. In MMA your entire body takes part in the fight where you throw kicks, punches, grapples, everything. MMA has relatively few rules as compared to other form of sports such as boxing (not including the basic manners of fighting), this is what makes it more entertaining and free. It gives the fighter more control over what they can and cannot do, and therefore MMA is like boxing or maybe even better in releasing your frustrations. So, grab a pair of MMA gloves and start the show.
Another sport that I’d like to talk about that’ll give you what you need for a toned body is Muay Thai. Considered as one of the most dangerous sport in the world, Muay Thai is a mixture of physical and mental discipline. It involves multiple styles of fighting and is therefore correctly known as the “Art of Eight Limbs”. Muay Thai dates back to the 17th and 18th century, and where it started for use in actual warfare it quickly grew into a traditional sport where competitors would fight one another in front of a crowd. In Muay Thai the entire body moves and a blow landed on the opponent is the result of the drive of the entire body.
MMA, Boxing and Muay Thai are all a source of great workout. They all help a person in achieving what they want to have, whilst also having fun. I have listed down some of the benefits of practicing these sports, and how each and every one of them can and will help you if you are looking to staying fit.
You usually hear about cardio and its importance in our daily lives, well when you box or do any of the sports above you challenge your heart and lungs maximum capacity and keep pushing it. Your organs when constantly exposed to such environment adapt to these changes and thus you start to have great cardiovascular workout. This Cardio builds great stamina in a person, and it helps a great deal when trying to stay in shape. So practice these sports and take your organs to the extreme length.
– Stress and Staying In Shape
From time to time every person in their adult lives goes through a tough time. Stress not only affects mentally and emotionally but also physically. A stressed person will never be able to perform like a healthy hearted person, he would be missing the thought, execution and other small factors affecting his or her skills. Here is where sports like MMA comes into play. The joy in punching a bag or even a person is unlike something you’ve ever felt before. It’s like your entire world’s worries are those bags and your punch is the hand of God trying to solve them. Consequently when trying to stay fit, you should always be mentally and emotionally strong, and sports like Muay Thai and MMA are going to help you to stay strong.
– Boxing, Muscle or Slim
Boxing is great for all sorts of people. Why I say this is because some people just want to lose weight and want to have a slim stealthy body structure where as there are people who only want to increase muscle mass while decreasing fat mass. Boxing will help you in no matter what route you take. If you want a muscular and brawny structure you can eat right while you box and you’ll get there in no time. If you just want to get slim and lose body fat then boxing would help you through that as well. A muscular body is healthier than a slim body in my opinion and a person who has muscular strength would have more strength than a slim person, period.
